Ken Maltas is promoted to Vice President of Engineering for Tegrant Corporation, ThermoSafe Brands
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS – (January 18, 2010) Tegrant Corporation, ThermoSafe Brands has announced the promotion of Ken Maltas to the position of Vice President of Engineering.
“It is with great pleasure that I announce that Ken Maltas has been promoted to the position of Vice President of Engineering for ThermoSafe Brands,” said Colleen Bohn, President of ThermoSafe Brands. “Ken has been a key driver in creating a Quality and Engineering group that has delivered superior service, design, and testing to our customers. His efforts have helped to reinforce our value proposition and grow our business with our Life Sciences customers.”
Ken Maltas joined ThermoSafe Brands in March of 2007 as Director of Engineering, responsible for integrating the ISC Labs and Technical Center engineering functions into one engineering organization. In 2008, Mr. Maltas took on responsibility for ThermoSafe Brands’ Corporate Quality function, and formalized the process engineering function, which has been essential to standardizing qualification programs. He also developed a process focused on continuously improving the quality of ThermoSafe Brands’ product portfolio.
In his new role, Mr. Maltas and his team will support the international customers and manufacturing base of ThermoSafe Brands. He will also be charged with growing the R&D function, helping ThermoSafe Brands remain on the leading edge in the marketplace. Mr. Maltas will continue to serve on ThermoSafe Brands’ Lead Team.
Mr. Maltas has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University, and a MS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
