ThermoSafe Brands Europe, receives ISO 9001:2008 International Quality Standard

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS – (March 9, 2010) Colleen Bohn, President of ThermoSafe Brands announced today that ThermoSafe Brands Europe facility in Mallow, Ireland has received ISO 9001:2008 certification. ISO 9001:2008 is an internationally recognised standard which specifies requirements for a Quality Management System. It provides a framework for globally recognised elements of quality management, and enhances an organisation’s ability to operate in a systematic, efficient, and effective manner.
“Achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification was one of our initial key business objectives. It demonstrates our commitment to deliver a quality product with an emphasises on customer satisfaction” said Niall Lehane, Director of Operations for ThermoSafe Brands Europe.
ISO 9001:2008 certification represents the first step toward an integrated management system approach that will include ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management system and OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, by early 2011.
“Deciding on the implementation of an integrated system was a natural progression for ThermoSafe Brands Europe, as it fits seamlessly with our culture of continuous improvement”, said Paschal Hennessy, Regulatory Affairs Manager for ThermoSafe Brands Europe.
